What You Will Get: Guests will have full, private access to the entire unit during their stay. This includes all bedrooms, bathrooms, the kitchen, living spaces, laundry facilities, and any outdoor areas that are part of the property. You'll have everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is typically one locked storage area per unit that is reserved for owner use and not accessible to guests. This space should be clearly marked and will not interfere with the guest experience or available living areas.
Furnishings & Inventory: Our homes are fully furnished and equipped to provide you with a comfortable "landing pad" during your stay. To ensure the property remains ready for all future guests, we ask that you adhere to the following inventory policy:
Check-in: For your convenience, your home is equipped with a keyless entry lock - no physical keys required. You'll be provided a unique access code the day of your check-in, so you can arrive and depart on your own schedule. You will also receive an invitation to our 'TouchStay' digital guidebook which includes everything you need to know about the property - from how things work inside the unit to local recommendations for food, shopping, and services. It's free and available 24/7 right on your phone, making it easy to find answers when you need them. For your convenience, the property is equipped with a keyless entry lock - no physical keys required. You'll be provided a unique access code the day of your check-in, so you can arrive and depart on your own schedule.
Consumables: We provide a starter supply of essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dish detergent, and laundry detergent. Guests are responsible for purchasing additional supplies as needed throughout their stay.
Smoking & Vaping: All of our homes are 100% smoke-free and vape-free environment. To ensure the comfort and safety of all guests and to maintain the integrity of our home, we enforce a zero-tolerance smoking policy. This policy applies to the entirety of the property, including all indoor areas, thresholds and outdoor areas. If you must smoke or vape, you must do so at a minimum distance of 9 metres (30 feet) away from any entrance, exit, or operable window of the building. This ensures that smoke does not drift back into the living spaces or affect the comfort of current or future guests. Please ensure all remains are disposed of safely in the provided exterior receptacle; do not leave butts on the ground or in the garden.
Pets: A maximum of two well-behaved animals (dog and/or cat) welcome. To help us keep the home clean for all guests, a one-time $150-$200 non-refundable Pet Sanitation Fee will apply to all stays (fees vary per property). The pet fee covers extra cleaning (dander/hair). This will be requested once your booking is confirmed. Pets are strictly not allowed on beds, chairs or sofas. Please bring your own pet bed or crate. Guests must immediately pickup and dispose of all pet waste in the outdoor garbage bin. Dogs should not be left unattended in the unit for long periods of time. Any physical damage such as scratched floors, chewed baseboards, or carpet stains will be processed as a separate claim. For insurance reasons, we cannot accept certain dog breeds or mixes, including Rottweiler, Pit Bull-type breeds, Staffordshire Terrier, Doberman Pinscher, Akita, Alaskan Malamute, Siberian Husky, wolf-hybrid breeds, Chow Chow, Great Dane, Presa Canario, or Mastiff breeds.
Pool Safety: Use of the pool is at the guest's own risk. No lifeguard is on duty. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times within the pool enclosure. No glass containers or bottles are permitted in the pool area. Please use the provided plastic drinkware. For the safety of the community and your family, pool gates must remain closed and locked at all times.
Pool Maintenance: To keep the pool pristine for your stay, professional pool technicians will access the exterior of the property once per week for cleaning and chemical balancing. We will notify you of the scheduled service day. While we provide professional service, guests are encouraged to use the provided skimmer net to remove surface debris (e.g. leaves) between visits.
Solar Covers: To conserve energy and maintain temperature overnight, please replace the solar cover/safety cover when the pool is not in use.
Pool Security Cameras: For the safety of our guests and the security of the home, the exterior backyard and pool areas are under continuous video monitoring. Please note, this is a mandatory requirement of our insurance provider for properties with pool facilities. All cameras are outward-facing and positioned to monitor entry points and the pool enclosure. There are no cameras inside the home or in private indoor living spaces. This system helps us ensure that pool safety gates remain secure and that the property remains protected during your stay.
Security Cameras: For guest and property safety, all of our homes are equipped with exterior facing cameras and are not actively monitored except in the case of unusual activity. Guests must not tamper with, disable, or obstruct the cameras. For longer stays, guests may request access to their applicable Ring camera feed.
Communication: For fastest response, please call us at 613-366-1382 or e-mail at [email protected]. In an emergency, call the appropriate authorities first, then notify us.
Utilities: Included with your stay is water, sewer, trash collection, high-speed internet, electricity, gas, lawn care, and driveway snow removal. Cable is not included, but a Smart TV is provided. To remain sustainable and keep our rates competitive, we provide a generous allowance for standard residential use. In the rare event that utility consumption significantly exceeds normal residential limits, any overages charged to the property will be passed on to the guest. We appreciate your cooperation in conserving energy.
EV Charging: We support green travel! However, because EV charging significantly impacts utility costs, it is not included in the standard nightly or monthly rate. Charging via a standard 110v exterior outlet is permitted only with prior written approval and is subject to a flat daily or monthly surcharge. Unauthorized EV charging is strictly prohibited. Please contact us before your arrival to discuss charging options and associated fees for your specific unit.
Deposit Terms: A $1,000 security deposit is collected prior to check-in and held in trust. It will be returned within 7–10 days after checkout provided there is no excessive cleaning required or damage beyond normal wear and tear.
Rental Application: If you would like to apply for a midterm stay that is longer than one month, a lease and credit check is required. Screening is processed through SingleKey (TransUnion, Equifax, and Nova Credit) at a cost of $44.99, paid by the applicant. If your SingleKey check is approved, you will be approved for the booking. An invitation to complete the screening will be emailed to you upon booking request.
Lease Information: A separate lease agreement is required for all stays and must be signed prior to check-in. Leases will be on a month-to-month basis and can be extended if the space remains available. Extensions must be agreed to in writing. Guests must provide 14 days written notice before vacating at the end of their stay. Assignment or subletting is not permitted.
Insurance: Guests must maintain liability insurance during their stay and provide proof of coverage upon request. While not mandatory, we strongly recommend obtaining contents insurance for personal belongings.
